Bergner contributes to the social development of disadvantaged groups in Tangier.
At Bergner we promote numerous local initiatives and projects which aim to contribute to an economic, social and sustainable development of the communities we have a presence in. To carry out these initiatives, we work closely with NGOs and other non-profit entities, whom we maintain a constant and fluid dialogue. All of this aims to identify potential avenues for collaboration which enable us to contribute to real needs of society.
In this context, several Bergner employees, together with the NGO Cooperación Internacional - IYC, went last week to Tangier to contribute to the social development of disadvantaged groups in the city helping people with disabilities and orphaned children.
During their stay in Tangier, the employees stayed at the Casa Riera residence and volunteered at the city's orphanage and at the local association Enfants Du Paradis, helping children with physical and mental disabilities. They also had the opportunity to learn about the wonderful work done by the Hermanas De Calcuta with street children and young people known as "Los niños pegamento".
We would like to thank all the volunteers for their involvement and contribution in this initiative and helping to improve the quality of life of many people.
