This agreement reinforces our position as a leading international group in home solutions and furthers our growth strategy in categories, regions and channels. The union and the birth of B&G creates an organization that combines the expertise of both companies to expand the market and accelerate our deployment in international retail channels.
With the know-how of Gerimport, the Bergner Group accelerates and strengthens the entry into new product categories: Christmas decoration, camping, garden, terrace and outdoor, beach, pool, gift and small furniture, toys, stationery, school supplies, artificial flowers, bathroom and tidying, complementary to those of Bergner and with a new approach to seasonal campaigns.
With this Joint-Venture and with Bergner's support and experience, Gerimport has access to a wider international market and a commercial network of channels and customers that will accelerate its growth.
Gerimport is currently one of the largest household goods operators in Iberia, with a significant presence and volume of business in the Discount, Retail and HoReCa channels, and with a very significant storage and operations capacity.
In addition to accelerating and boosting our growth, this alliance will strengthen the Supply Chain and IT areas of both companies, exploit synergies in purchasing and transport volumes from Asia, optimize and facilitate the exhibition of products and concepts in the new showroom in Madrid, and allow us to develop complete and highly innovative campaigns and operations for retail.
