The Cook & Chef Institute Foundation has awarded "Gardeniers with Sustainable Gastronomy 2022" award for its ecosocial project.

This distinction has been awarded with the unanimous vote of the jury, composed of members of the board of the Cook & Chef Institute Foundation and chefs Pepe Rodríguez Rey and Samantha Vallejo-Nágera, both ambassadors of the foundation, who have decided to reward the commitment and contribution of Gardeniers and Atades to sustainability and social cohesion by offering a dignified and stable job to people with intellectual disabilities and at risk of exclusion, people with functional diversity.

The differential value of Gardeniers lies in its social and inclusive impact. This project claims the ability of its workers to put on the market ecological and organic products of the highest quality, as well as gardening services, outdoor decoration and sale of flowers and plants.

With this award, the Cook & Chef Institute Foundation materializes its commitment to sustainability in the field of gastronomy, recognizing and making visible those projects that share this philosophy, respect the rhythms of nature and strive to innovate by carrying out initiatives that preserve the environment through resource management and waste disposal.

The Foundation aims to promote healthy habits based on healthy eating, bringing the properties of each seasonal product to everyone and providing culinary suggestions that are also beneficial to health.

The presentation of the Sustainable Gastronomy 2022 award by the Cook & Chef Institute Foundation took place at 12.30 pm at the Gardeniers headquarters.

The welcome was given by the president of the Foundation Alberto Forcano who opened the event and the award was presented to Gardeniers by the chefs Pepe Rodríguez and Samantha Vallejo-Nágera.
